1965 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 OTS
The Series 1 4.2 is considered to be the pick of the E-Type range. Whilst retaining the pure glass over the headlight styling and benefiting from the 4.2 liter engine upgrade. This upgrade included a new all synchro gearbox, pre-engaged starter motor, diaphragm clutch, alternator, reclining seats, improved brake booster and improved cooling system. All round a better E-Type. With only 863 built in RHD OTS configuration also a very rare model. This numbers matching, UK delivered car was built on the 5th of August 1965. It arrived in Australia in June 1975. These details are confirmed by the heritage certificate and Grace Bros shipping document retained in the history file. Together with the original stamped service log book. The car has been very well maintained including a full suspension, brake and carburettor overhaul. It drives exceptionally well. The body is in super condition with factory panel gaps. The black leather seats and black carpets are in as new condition. A really lovely, very usable and rare example.
