1967 MGB GT MK1

The MGB is really one of the best classic cars you can buy. Very well designed for the start. Lovely rack and pinion steering. Disc brakes up front. Torquey 1800cc engine. 4 speed gearbox with overdrive on 3rd and 4th gears. The GT hatch back version was designed by Pininfarina no less. No wonder it looks so right! This pretty coupe’ is very practical and makes the prefect touring classic car.

Built on the 17th of August 1967 and dispatched on the 14th of September a special export order for Australia. Arriving in early 1968. According to history that comes with the car its believed to have been used by either Lanes Motors or Brents Sports Cars as their show car. Making the rounds of the motor shows to promote the MGB GT. The first owner kept the car for 23 years. The second owner kept the car for 18 years. The previous owner kept the car for 11 years. As you can see it was a much loved car.

This very well maintained MG is finished in its original Old English White with Black leather piped in Red. Chrome wire wheels, heater and overdrive. These details are confirmed on the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate. A copy of this certificate comes with the car.
